Its chemical composition is mainly polymalt salt linked by α-1.4 glycosidic bonds, 1/3 of α-1.6 glycosidic bonds, and 2/3 of α-1.4 glycosidic bonds. This polysaccharide is easily soluble in water, safe, and non-toxic. Low calorific value, good acid and alkali resistance, good plasticity, good film formation, and good gas barrier properties.
